Working at St Bede's - Current Vacancies

St Bede's is an outstanding school where relationships between staff and students are exceptionally strong. We are proud to serve approximately 1,700 boys and girls of all abilities, age 11-18. This includes over 300 studying academic subjects in the sixth form.

St Bede's is good place to work. The community is vibrant, focused on teaching, learning and caring for our students. The community of staff is very strong, supportive and welcoming. Our students like the school and like to learn - they are almost always keen and co-operative and value staff and the school. The school has something for everyone and huge opportunities for adults, as well as students, to learn and grow.

We offer initial teacher training through the i2i Partnership, an alliance of Surrey and Hampshire secondary schools.  The partnership's prime focus is school-based teacher training through our SCITT, Teach@Weydon and School Direct programmes.  We provide those entering the profession with world class training and all programmes lead to QTS and offer PGCE.  For further information about local training or to register interest please visit the following website:

Please read all the details of any post, before applying. Please also note that vacancies have closing dates - we are rarely able to consider applications received after the closing date.

As you would expect, we are committed to safeguarding young and/or vulnerable people in our care. For this reason we will only accept applications made by completing one of our own forms, checks (including full safeguarding checks with the Police and other authorities) will be made and formal, confirmed references will be sought before interview. As in all schools, for almost all posts, candidates are required to disclose any previous convictions or charges (whether or not these are "spent")

This page has details of any current vacancies. Please view or download the information pack for the vacancy which interests you.  If, after reading the pack,  you wish to apply please download and complete the appropriate application form (Teaching or Support Staff). Employment agencies charge very high introductory fees, therefore our policy is that we will only consider CVs submitted via agencies if an insufficient number of  high calibre direct applications are received. Please don't rely on an agency to put you forward for any post to which you are attracted, your CV  may not be considered.

If you have any queries or would like to visit the school please contact our Personnel Officer, Carole Whybra, on 01737 214048 or email jobs@st-bedes.surrey.sch.uk.
