As I indicated in the last newsletter, our major building project is scheduled to begin during the Easter holidays.
Car parking and access
Parking on site will be severely restricted over the next 12 months and visitor access to the onsite loop road will be controlled. A reminder to parents to pick up and drop off students well away from the school site. During the project, we will not be allowing 6th formers to park on the school grounds. There will only be pedestrian access to reception after Easter. Parents picking up children during the school day will need to park and then walk on to site.
We have already discussed the public exam period with our main contractor and we will be working to ensure that noise and other disruption is curtailed during the period of exams in May and June.
In an emergency, there will be some changes to the way in which staff and students exit the school. I will be explaining these to students in assemblies after Easter before a drill takes place early in the summer term.
I will keep you updated as the project progresses.
