New telephone system
The lease on the existing school telephone system is expiring and a new more economical replacement is being installed, though with similar functionality.
The initial changeover of internal systems will take place on Thursday afternoon (7 July) during which time there may be brief interruptions to external calls. Apologies if you are affected by this.
Another brief interruption will take place on a date to be decided when we will switch the main connection media.
All published external and direct dial numbers will remain the same after the changeover.
In the new system, student absence can be recorded directly as a voicemail message so you do not have to wait for someone to be available, though there will still be an option to speak to someone should it be required.
From change-over, all external calls will be recorded for training and monitoring purposes and stored for one year.
