A message from Metrobus

The safety of children returning to school is paramount - our goal is to get them there and back as quickly and as safely as possible. We’ve put plenty of measures in place - such as dedicated buses and extra cleaning (using hospital grade products). We also have six months’ experience of providing safer bus services throughout the pandemic.

Covid 19 has brought about some important changes to bus travel:

  • Social distancing – regular buses will have capacity limitations advertised on the side of each bus.
  • Exact change only - when paying by cash for a ticket on board a bus (please consider alternative ways to pay). A change voucher will be given if the correct change is not given.
  • Wearing a face covering, if you are not exempt.

All of this information is contained in the attached leaflet. We also have more detailed information on our website and a short film about how we are keeping you safe and our buses extra clean.

Please help us, to help your school, by sharing this information with teachers and parents / guardians to help keep everyone safe. If you would like printed copies of this leaflet, please email us back and we’ll arrange for them to be delivered to you.

Many thanks and good luck with the new term ahead.

Kind regards,
