As chaplains we support the spiritual life of our school in different ways, including worship and pastoral care. We organise services through all the seasons of the school and church year, from whole year celebrations to individual form worship in the chapel, and provide worship materials for reflection in the weekly student bulletin.
We work closely with the RE department supporting the curriculum, for example in class discussions and through celebrating Mass and Communion services in our different traditions.
We enjoy our connections with local churches and all the possibilities this offers, for example in welcoming visiting clergy and other volunteers, and through our donation at harvest time to local Food Banks.
We also work as part of the wider pastoral care team to provide a listening ear to students and staff, and engage with students on many levels, for example in class, on trips, retreats, youth volunteering through the Saint Vincent de Paul society (SVP) and in the Christian Unions run by the "Sparkfish" team.
We welcome parents and carers at our regular prayer meetings for the school, organised by a member of staff, and enjoy meeting you at school open evenings and other events. Please feel free to talk to us at any time about the spritual life of the school.
