The staff and students at St Bede’s were celebrating record results today after the publication of the GCSE grades for 2015. With some English Language results still pending, the school estimates that 82% have achieved 5 or more A*-C passes (including English and Maths) and the overall best eight points score figure has now risen to 371.

Pupils and staff at St Bede’s were celebrating this morning after the release of another set of excellent A level results, with over half (54%) of the A2 exams graded A*, A or B, most students will be heading off to their first choice university this autumn. The school maintained its reputation for academic excellence, with 82% achieving A*-C grades.

GCSE results will be available for collection from the foyer (by the main hall) on Thursday 20th August 2015 at 9.15am to 10.30am. Thereafter results will be available via Insight from 10.30am.

A level Results will be available for collection from the old gym on Thursday 13th August 2015 at 8.30 am to 9.15 am for Year 13 students and 9.15 am to 10.15 am for Year 12 students. Thereafter results will be available via Insight from 10.30 am.

Following on from last week's record-breaking A level results, we are very pleased to report that the GCSE results this year were the best-ever! The main headline figure (proportion of students gaining at least 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths) jumped up by more than 10% from last year to just under 80%. This is an excellent performance, particularly compared to a national picture which saw less than a 1% increase. At the time of writing, the key statistics are:
