Admission to the sixth form is primarily about ensuring that each student can join the right courses which will have the highest chance of success and enjoyment. We welcome students from all schools, from faith or non faith backgrounds to be a part of our strong community.

September 2027 Sixth form applications

Applications will open on Thursday 8 October 2026 (following our sixth form open evening) and close on 1 December 2026. Please apply via our application portal. 

• St Bede's students will receive an email with their log on details on Thursday 8 October 2026 and should log in as existing users with their **@st-bedes.surrey.sch.uk email address.
• External students need to register to create an account. The link to do this will appear here on Thursday 8 October 2026.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for the St Bede’s Sixth Form for this academic year are five GCSEs (9-4)/Cambridge National Merit (M2 and above). Please be aware that A level subjects also have a minimum grade requirement. Individual course leaflets will be available on the evening and online shortly after. All students opting for the sixth form at St Bede’s must have demonstrated a positive attitude towards their studies at GCSE level.

As well as the three (in some cases four) chosen subjects, students will also take part in fortnightly citizenship lessons, plus a short course in philosophy in Year 12.

We also encourage students planning to apply to university to check entry requirements for their desired course.
