RAG Week 2022

Senior students worked hard to organise a fantastic RAG Week this year, having never experienced it properly as sixth form students themselves. The event kicked off on Friday 11 March with the RAG Fayre. Sixth form tutor groups each ran stalls and had to hold two fayres due to the split lunchtimes. There was a great buzz around the school and a whopping £2,000 was raised on the launch day!

This year saw the return of the Brighton to school walk overnight from Sunday to Monday and you could definitely spot which students had taken part around school on Monday! Thanks to all family and friends who supported them to make this possible as it is not a school organised event.

During RAG Week it is not unusual to see someone walking around in pyjamas, dressed as a queen or even as an alien and that's just the sixth form staff! Students were fully on board as well and each day they dressed in a different theme: Monday - pyjamas; Tuesday - first letter of their name; Wednesday - British Icons; Throwback Thursday - something from the decades and Friday - was whole school dress up day with each year group having their own movie or theme.

Huge congratulations to the senior students and the sixth form for a really successful week. Thank you to the whole school for all the support and to family and friends who have sponsored and donated to raise money for the sixth form's three chosen charities - Cancer research, Alzheimer's Society and Bakiga Community Project in Uganda.

More photos to come next week taken by photography students, but in the meantime here are some from the week.
