Pupil Premium support and Free School Meals
BackPupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is allocated to students from low-income families, Looked-After & Previously Looked-After Children and children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces.
Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit. However as a school we will be held accountable for how we have used the additional funding to support students from low-income families.
From September 2012, we are required to publish online information about how we have used the Premium. This will ensure that parents and others are made fully aware of the attainment of pupils covered by the Premium and the extra support that they receive.
Free School Meals
Free school meal entitlement is changing. From September 2026 all children in households receiving Universal Credit will be eligible for free school meals, regardless of household income. This means many more families will be able to access free school meals.
You will not receive this entitlement automatically you must apply via the school.
If you would like to apply or check your eligibility please complete this online application form.
