Hard work pays off at St Bede’s Sixth Form!

Thursday 17 August 2023

I am delighted with the results of our sixth form students in this summer’s A level and Cambridge Technical awards. Despite the challenges our students faced over the last few years and being a year group who never sat official GCSE examinations I am incredibly proud of their achievements.

The excellent results achieved this summer demonstrates the fantastic work ethic displayed by our sixth form students throughout the last two years. They worked incredibly hard to achieve this success and it was wonderful to see the tears of joy this morning when examination envelopes were opened. I would also like to thank the teaching and support staff who supported this year group as they too worked incredibly hard to ensure that students fulfilled their potential. We are lucky to have brilliant students and incredible staff here in the Sixth Form at St Bede’s.

Mrs Woodroofe and I are thrilled that so many students have been allocated their first choice university placement. We have many going to excellent universities up and down the country to study a wide range of subjects including medicine. For any student who needs support or further guidance with their next steps including UCAS offers then Mrs Woodroofe and our examinations team are on hand.

Mrs Woodroofe, Miss Corry and myself all wish each and every Year 13 student the very best in the next chapter of their lives whether that be going to university or taking up an apprenticeship or employment. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and we look forward to hearing about their future successes which I have no doubt that they will go on to.
