St Bede’s Sixth Form Exam Results

Best ever results!

Mrs Woodroofe and I are absolutely thrilled with the success achieved by our sixth form students in this summer’s A level and Cambridge Technical Awards. I am delighted that outcomes this year are the best on record. Each and every student should be proud of their achievements. The excellent results this summer are the end product of so much hard work and determination shown by St Bede’s Sixth Form students.

From the moment this year group joined the St Bede’s Sixth Form to their very last day they have excelled. I am so pleased that they have fulfilled their potential and that so many have exceeded their targets. The fantastic results demonstrate the character and determination of this brilliant year group. From raising the most amount of money for RAG Week to now achieving these excellent outcomes, Year 13 have done the sixth form proud. Students and staff have worked tirelessly together towards these results and I want to thank teachers, the sixth form team and support staff for all that they did to help Year 13 throughout the last two years. 

Around 82% of students achieved grades A*-C, with over 30% of results being either an A* or A grade. I am delighted that almost 50 grades achieved by our students were A* and I am extremely pleased to learn that the vast majority of our sixth form students have got into their first choice university including Oxbridge and many Russell Group universities. We have students going onto study dentistry and medicine. We also have several students going onto exciting apprenticeship courses, which demonstrates the success that these students have achieved this year.
