Delight at St Bede's Sixth Form!

I am delighted with the success achieved by our sixth form students in this summer’s A level and Cambridge Technical Awards. I am thrilled that outcomes this year are very similar to last year’s, which were the best on record. Each and every student should be proud of their achievements. The excellent results this summer are the end product of so much hard work and determination shown by the St Bede’s Sixth Form students.

Around 83% of students achieved grades A*–C, with over 100 of the results being either an A* or an A grade, and I am extremely pleased to learn that the vast majority of our sixth form students have secured places at their first-choice university, including Oxford and Cambridge, with many going on to Russell Group universities. We also have students going on to study medicine, as well as several students going on to exciting apprenticeship courses, which demonstrates the success that these students have achieved this year.

The St Bede’s Sixth Form team, including Mr Mackie, Mrs Woodroofe and Mrs Fleming-Wall, and I are incredibly proud of the achievements of our students. I am very grateful to all the teaching staff who supported this great bunch of students over the last two years and helped them obtain these fantastic results.

The Sixth Form at St Bede’s continues to grow from strength to strength, and these results are a testament to the brilliant students that we have in our sixth form. We wish each and every student the very best, whether that be going to university, taking up an apprenticeship or entering employment.
