Best ever GCSE results at St Bede's

The staff and I at St Bede's are elated with the Year 11 outcomes this year, as students celebrate the school's best-ever GCSE results. I would like to congratulate Year 11 on their GCSE and Cambridge National success. Students have worked incredibly hard over the last two years, and it is wonderful to see the result of all of their terrific efforts. Our students here have shown great determination and resilience, and I am so pleased for each and every one of them.

The school has once again achieved superb attainment results in several subjects right across the curriculum. St Bede’s saw more students achieve the top grades of 9-7 than ever before, which is incredible. Around 40% of grades achieved were 7 or higher. Our headline figures include 92% of students achieving a grade 4 or above in English and 92% achieving the same in maths. Results across the curriculum are impressive, including in the arts, languages and sciences, with over 50% of students achieving a grade 9-7 in these subjects.

I am overjoyed with our students' achievements and could not be more proud of our Year 11s. Mrs Harvey and the Year 11 team are equally proud of the year group. I would also like to acknowledge the hard work and efforts of the teaching staff who have supported this year group over the last two years. I am excited to see the majority of the year group at our Year 12 Enrolment Day next week. Well done, Year 11!
