Are you interested in the health, social care, children and young people and community justice sectors? Do you care about yourself and others in society? Would you like to learn how to use and develop your care and communication skills?

Key Stage 4 (Years 10, 11)

Cambridge National - Health and Social Care Level 2

The course involves learning a wide range of skills through focused activities such as role- play, case studies and scenarios. These skills will be used to demonstrate how to carry out the assessment tasks in a practical health, social care and early years setting.

The students complete four units:

RO21 - Essential values of care for use with individuals in care settings - written  examination in year 10.

RO22 - Communicating and working with individuals in health, social care and early years settings - centre assessed, exam board moderated.

RO26 - Planning for employment in health, social care and early years settings - centre assessed, exam board moderated.

RO31 - Using basic first aid procedures - centre assessed, exam board moderated.

Sixth Form (Years 12, 13)

Health and Social Care Cambridge Technical (CTEC)

This course introduces you to key concepts and a body of knowledge that will provide you with an invaluable and thoughtful perspective on contemporary issues in health, social care, children and young people and community justice. It complements other A level studies and equips you with skills needed for higher education and the world of work. It reflects job opportunities relevant to work across all the four areas of health, social care, children and young people and community justice.
